Interpreted size (burned area) 534,639 acres
Growth:  2,553 acres
Wallow Fire IR map from 06/23/11 2252PDT flyover
Flyover report comment:

There was an isolated heat sources 4 miles east of Luna and just a half mile east of the power line on a north facing slope facing the San Fransisco River just below the Bar N Mesa at -108 53' 11.3", 33 48' 43.3" in Section 3 of T6S/R20W.  This was very small but in the center of the image.  Since it is so far away from the fire and across open space, it is probably not part of any Wallow activity, but we thought you should know about it.

As far as the whole fire goes, there was significant heat again around the area by Stray Horse and the southern tip.  The fire continues to go south from Rasperry Creek and continues into Crooks Mesa and McKittrick Creek almost to the Blue River, as well as along Rt 191 into Lengthy Canyon.  It is just into Tornado Canyon.  There is still a lot of heat and growth east of Cedar Springs.  The greatest amount of growth on this arm was north along Foote Creek.  North of this arm the fire has burned into Foote Creek where it splits around Horse Ridge.  There was a lot of heat on the north half of Fishhook Mesa as well.  There continues to be a lot of heat at Foote Creek west toward Fishhook Creek.

The far east arm north of Luna has not grown but there continues to be a lot of heat between Trout Creek and Forest Road 220.

All remains quiet on the western front except for a lot of scattered heat up Road 72 at the top of the Centerfire Creek drainage.
