Pre-evacuation alert for Eagar and Springerville declared

The Apache County Sheriff's Office has issued a pre-evacuation alert for Springerville and Eagar.  Sources are calling this a "2 hour alert" rather than the "12 hour alert" we have been seeing for other areas.  Winds have been very high in the area all day; high winds are predicted for the next several days.

Note that a pre-evacuation alert can last for days, as happened with Greer, or can be withdrawn.
