Info about yesterday's fires at Red Hill

Four fires were caused by lightning strikes yesterday afternoon (06/05/11) in the Red Hill area.

• Two Red Hill area (Cimarron Subdivision) 
• Two off of Luna Road

All were attacked immediately by Quemado District fire personnel which includes Red Hill FD.   State fire personnel were also involved, as at least one fire was on state land.

All fires were checked subsequently this morning.

More lightning is expected this afternoon; the Catron County fire team is on alert.
