Catron County update

Luna NM 6:18 PM   "Catron County is in the path of the Wallow Fire," said  Bill Aymar, Catron County manager, from an emergency command post in Luna, NM.  "We have been working with NM Forestry (Doug Boykin) and Catron County Fire Marshall Zina McGuire for two days preparing - just in case the fire continues east."

"AZ is not paying much attention to us," Aymar said.  "We can't wait for them, we need to be proactive."

Aynar said that the fire may have crossed US 180 at Tal Wi Wi (north of Alpine), but that he did not have verification of this.
