#WallowFire County Manager Report: Luna 06/20/11 6:05PM NM
Bill Aymar:

After yesterday's bad winds today was a blessing - though not without it's complications. The hillside right at the west end of Luna got scorched pretty well, but the team had trucks all over it when I last looked about 4 pm or so. There's still a lot of activity along Bill Knight Gap road, and of course the smoke coming up from the Blue looks pretty ominous, though it's still pretty far away.

Luna remains at least partially evacuated.  Law enforcement folks are patrolling constantly, and the VFDs are helping with keeping the tanks full and helping locate water sources.

We re-established the Catron Emergency Operations Center, with a reduced staff. Folks can call (575) 519-7946 to get or pass along information. Extension 1017 works best, but it should get answered even if you don't put in the extension. The Red Cross packed up and went home but the Reserve High School can still be used as a shelter, it just may take us a few minutes to get someone settled.

Hope everyone is doing alright and don't hesitate to call either the EOC or the Luna VFD, who can get the messages back to us pretty quickly.
