#WallowFire Richard Torres tour of the fire

Approx. five(5) miles from the hatchery on Arizona Forest Road 204, Forest Service Supervisor Redinger of the Whisky Division gave an interview.(photo below).

He stated the Wallow Fire was about 1mile away(southwest), and moving very slowly northeast over rocky terrain. He felt confident measures taken and planned can hold the line, barring unforseen circustances.

Photo below shows a mulching crew at work.

There was no evidence of fire activity approximately .three  miles from the hatchery on Arizona Forest Road 204. From the hatchery, the caravan proceeded east into New Mexico, stopping briefly to note smoke activity rising from the Blue.(photo below).

We then travelled on New Mexico Forest Road 209. This road, approximately13 miles long till it ended at Highway 180 just south of Luna, was being heavlly thinned-out by many fire crews.(photo below). No fire activity was in evidence at all along this road.
