SAWC Annual meeting May 11

The San Augustin Water Coalition will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, May 11th. at 3 p.m. in the Datil school gym. Doors open at 2 p.m. A. Blair Dunn will be our keynote speaker. He is a water attorney and will speak on current water issues in New Mexico.

Please plan to attend. All are welcome.

May 4 Fundraiser for FFAA

Kathy and Stanley from the Pie O Neer and the Pie Town Community Council have scheduled a spaghetti dinner and dance with live music and a home baked goods raffle as a fund raiser for FFAA on May 4 at the Pie Town Community Center. Food, for both dogs and cats and kitty litter will be appreciated.

HENRY BELA “H.B” BIRMINGHAM JR

HENRY BELA “H.B” BIRMINGHAM JR., 97 passed away quietly at his home in Reserve NM, on the 19th of March, one month short of is 98th birthday.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at ten o’clock in the morning at the Chuck Ellis Memorial Gymnasium in Reserve, NM with Cliff Snyder officiating. [MAP]

He was born on April 19, 1915 in Reserve, NM to Henry B. and Frances Ellen (Maybery) Birmingham Sr. He was a rancher his whole life. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, working at Eagle Peak and making great tortillas. He also was a great historian and loved sharing his stories.

He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his two sons H. Bela Birmingham III and wife Terry, Michael P. Birmingham and companion Cathy Muse, three grandchildren, HB IV and Tammy Birmingham, Brooke and Clay Gleich, and Karli M. Birmingham, two great-grandchildren, Iliana Rose and Olivia Bela Birmingham one sister May Moltz and many nephews, nieces and friends.
